cardiac superoxide dismutase activity in mice was markedly inhibited with the higher doses of thymoquinone,a natural main constituent of the volatile oil of Nigella saliva seeds, (50 and 100 mg /kg).
thymoquinone (50,100 mg/kg) and thymoquinone (100 mg/kg) enhanced cardiac and renal DT-diaphorase activity respectively in mice[1]
