Description: Family : Labiatae, Lamiaceae[1]
Extract used: Chloroform leaf extract has been used for radioprotection study.[3]
tannins, flavones, flavonols, Flavanonols, xantones, flavonones and steroids.[4]
& Indications:
Pharmcological Action-
hepatoprotective in rats[5],[6]
analgesic in mice[7]
Therapeutic indications:
Traditionally used as diuretic, disinfectant, antiseptic, cholagogue, expectorant, antifungal, antibacterial, carminative, digestive, pneumonia, indigestion, swelling, rheumatic pain.[2]
